Hi all! First off, don’t run away! Yes it’s me. I have been busy with the Bloggiesta (pretty much like an online Blog maintenance seminar) all weekend and yeah… I made some changes. 😀
Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I love being a part of this and I hope you do too! As part of this weekly meme I love to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme. I offer a weekly contest for those who visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and leave a comment telling me how many you visited. **You do not have to have a blog to participate! You receive one entry for every 10 comments, just come back here and tell me how many in the comment area.

You are getting a mini version of this meme this week as honestly… I am a little wiped out. I put in about 23 hours on the blog this weekend, prepping posts, fixing links, organizing, running a challenge, yeah I am wiped. 😀
This past week I did not get a lot of reading done as I had meetings Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday went into Bloggiesta mode until ummm…. about 30 minutes ago.

I’m reading The Fault in our Stars this week too! I’m curious about the audio version, though. Are you listening to the one narrated by John Green or the official one with the female narrator?
Great question! *runs and looks*
Female narrator – Kate Rudd. Bummer…. John Green narrating would have been cool!
The 19th Wife is really good. Hope you like it.
Thanks I am hearing some mixed grumblings from my book club so I am curious… 😀
All the books sound really good. Enjoy them and have a great week!
Thanks you too 🙂
I’ve had the 19th Wife on my list for awhile, I totally need to read it soon!!!
How is your Jane Eyre progress coming? I haven’t read anything in it for a couple of weeks, I keep getting distracted 😦
I am so behind on Jane Eyre… I keep moving it from room to room with me so I can pick it up but just havent had time. Hopefully this week I can update!
I hope you had fun this weekend with bloggiesta. I didn’t officially participate but caught the fever. 😉
Have a great week.
I think I like the look of The Fault in our Stars….and The 19th Wife looks intriguing, too.
Enjoy!
Get some rest…..
Going to soon…want to make an about me page…. 😀
I definitely want to read The 19th Wife.
I am hopeful it is a good one 😉
GREAT NEW LOOK!!! I LOVE IT!!!Almost thought I was in the wrong place, lol!!
Thanks Lori…. 😀
20 so far!! Where is my day going? lol
No kidding! I just got home from work and working out… now I am going to spend some time writing a review and commenting a bit before I need to work on a study I am leading tonight. 😀
I can’t wait to read The Fault In Our Stars, I’ve read so many awesome reviews, hope my expectations aren’t too high lol. Looks like you had a big weekend with Bloggiesta … well done!
Have a great week and happy reading 🙂
HI Sheree, I have heard good things too but that has not worked for me lately…LOL
Thanks, it has been a BUSY weekend.
Must read The Fault in Our Stars – keep hearing good things! Loving the new look as well, and your post on increasing blog traffic as it’s something I want to try and do!
Thanks Kylie… I hope the post gave some good advice. 🙂
Great new look! I havent read any of the books that you listed.. =)
Have a great week!
Thank you. I am looking forward to the books 😉
Hi – Wow what a changed look. Nice and bright and clean. Congrats!
I was hoping to participate in Bloggiesta but the weekend got bogged with other things. *Sigh*
Ah well – good comments and looks like it was fun. 🙂
I haven’t read any of the books you are reading so I’ll be interested in hearing your thoughts.
Have a great week.
Hi Martha! I got lucky and had a low commitment weekend… rare! 😀
I like the new look except the blog is all on the right side with the left side just a streaky grey background. Maybe its my browser (I am using Firefox)?
I hope you have a great week!
Hi, the background is called white washed gray and I put it there intentionally – its supposed to look streaky, or brushed 😀
Oh and there is a sidebar! I just havent put enough into it yet to make the bar come all the way down 😀
I hadn’t planned to visit tonight but then I got started. 🙂 I visited 15 so far.
Nie job Martha…. I havent visited at all – too tired out 😀
Your new blog look is fantastic!
Thank you Karen. 😀
I’m on the fourth of the Flavia de Luce books. I’ve read all of them but have recently gotten into listening to audios. So I’m curious how the audio production of the first book is. Would it be worth re-reading via audio?
My favorite read this week was Stuck on Earth by David Class. Please come see what else I’m reading.
Theres more than one? 😯 LOL…. I will let you know about the audio. I have had several great books I have also listened to on audio *sigh* just because they are awesome 😀
There are currently four books. The author posted on his blog last month that his publisher has approved three more.
Wow…. are they a series off of this book? I had no idea.. I thought it was a stand alone. *gulp* LOL
At least you got some reading in. I read a couple great books. I also had a wonderfully worded and pictured post all ready to go – then while putting in the tags, my hands spzzed out and I deleted all that work. soooooo frustrated. So now it’s a short, linkless post. Se La Vi!
Oh that is a bummer about your post! I hate it when that happens!
I surprised myself Mardel… I didn’t realize I had finished both those books this week…LOL….
I’m reading Benjamin Franklin’s autobiography. Free on kindle and a great read.
Oh I bet that is good Pete!
The audio for The Fault in our Stars is really great, and there’s an interview with John Green at the end! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Thanks Laura, I am really curious about it and I like that when authors share an interview. 😀
I hope you find some time to read and relax this week.
Thanks Kathy – I think this week I am in a mood where I am going to make time. In other words, I am going to say to a couple of things…. 😀 (and that feels good).
I’ve been wanting to start the Flavia de Luce books for a while now but there are so many other books I want to read, too! Maybe I’ll try them on audio.
I love your new look…it’s very bright and sharp! I did a little rearranging on my blog during Bloggiesta, too. I was able to make my header a little shorter and widen my columns.
Have a great week!
Audio is always my answer when life is busy Kristin 😀 Cant wait to see your blog!
I’ve had my eye on 19th Wife and Fault in our Stars.
I am currently reading Paris in Love by Eloisa James and Liesl & Po by Lauren Oliver.
I want to read that Lauren Oliver book… I enjoy her writing!
We read the 19th Wife for my neighborhood book group – it was excellent. Everyone liked it.
I enjoyed The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie, too. It’s a lot of fun.
I just read my very first John Green novel last week. I’ve heard this latest one is amazing.
Enjoy your books this week!
Sue
Oh good to know Sue! I am hoping it makes for a wonderful discussion! This will be my first John Green 😀
I am currently reading “Southern Fried” by Cathy Pickens. It’s a nice Cozy mystery. I am a huge fan of mysteries and suspense novels. It has the mystery and is seriously toned down on the violence. I usually reading culinary cozies but I have switched it up by reading the story of a lawyer who loses her job and goes back to her home town to re-group and also earn come extra income. Since she came back they unearthed a car from the lake and a man who everyone believes murder his wife has come back into the fray as well. So it’s pretty interesting so far…
Would anyone be interested in assisting me with putting together a nice reading schedule and also a blogging schedule. I totally need help with that. I definitely want to increase my readership and comments as well. I find this blog very informative. I love it!
Thanks,
Regina S.
Hi Regina! Cozy mysteries ayy? You need to go see Lori at Escape With Dollycas, she is the cozy mystery queen and I bet she would have some good tips for you to. Feel free to ask questions here and I will help where and when I can.
What do you mean by a reading schedule? Something to keep you on track or books to read?
Stop back and lets chat 😀
I like the new look! The Flavia de Luce books were recommended to me, but I just couldn’t get into them ;-(
Hope you have a great week!
Oh I hope that isnt the case here Laura… I really could never get into the #1 Ladies Detective Club books either even though people rave about them…. 😀
liking the new look to your blog. I’m really looking forward to reading your thoughts on The 19th Wife and The Sweetness At The Bottom Of The Pie.
Thank you Tracy! 😀 Appreciate that.
Like your new look and the two new books also look good.
Thanks Mystica 😀
I’ve left comments on other 10 linked blogs 🙂
Oh that is great Laura – I need to get out there yet 😀
I THOUGHT I would be able to participate in Bloggiesta this year, but it didn’t happen! I enjoyed The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie – very fun read! Enjoy your reading week!
They are planning a second on the end of September Julie – I seen that on Twitter 😀
I love the new layout! For some reason, on my iPad, I don’t see your photo (which I love btw) in the corner. Have a great week!
Thanks Alison – I wanted some way so people knew where they were and didnt run away! 😛
Haha I thought I’d goen to the wrong blog for a moment, so used to seeing your green colour scheme. Hope you managed to get lots done over Bloggiesta. I read The Fault in Our Stars last week, I don’t think I’m going to be a huge John Green fan but was still good.
Oh oh to John Green…. I hope i like it… 😀
The audios for the Allen Bradley series are fantastic. I love Flavia!
OOH good to know! Thanks Megan!
Love the new look! Although I thought I had come to the wrong place at first.
I’m also reading “The Fault in Our Stars”. I can’t wait to read your review.

LOL Thanks Lynne, I am glad you didnt run away 🙂
Oh, John Green’s new one is really good, I hope you enjoy it. I managed to post my It’s Monday a day late…
Well glad you made it Helen 😀
I’m late visiting blogs…grandkids, etc.
I just visited my fortieth blog!
NIce job Laurel… I have hardly made it to any. GAH
Well thanks to your bloggiesta post I’ve repented of my generic comment ways! Unfortunately that makes commenting on pages, where you haven’t heard of any of the books, very challenging, Well it only took me visiting 91 blogs to find 10 that I could leave good comments on, but I did it! And it really does pay off! Thanks so much for the helpful advice!
You are so welcome and thank you for saying so. 🙂 I wanted to hop right over to your blog but I do not see a link to do so. I found you through Google. 😀
Awesome! Thanks for the Dewey read A Thon heads up! It sounds really fun and I’m considering participating!
No problem! I just picked up on that myself tonight off another blog… glad to share the news 🙂
I look forward to your review of The 19th Wife. I’ve been think about reading it for a bit.
