Serena Jane’s beauty proves to be her greatest blessing and her biggest curse, for it makes her the obsession of classmate Bob Bob Morgan, the youngest in a line of Robert Morgans who have been doctors in Aberdeen for generations. Though they have long been the pillars of the community, the earliest Robert Morgan married the town witch, Tabitha Dyerson, and the location of her fabled shadow book–containing mysterious secrets for healing and darker powers–has been the subject of town gossip ever since. Bob Bob Morgan, one of Truly’s biggest tormentors, does the unthinkable to claim the prize of Serena Jane, and changes the destiny of all Aberdeen from there on.

When Serena Jane flees town and a loveless marriage to Bob Bob, it is Truly who must become the woman of a house that she did not choose and mother to her eight-year-old nephew Bobbie. Truly’s brother-in-law is relentless and brutal; he criticizes her physique and the limitations of her health as a result, and degrades her more than any one human could bear. It is only when Truly finds her calling–the ability to heal illness with herbs and naturopathic techniques–hidden within the folds of Robert Morgan’s family quilt, that she begins to regain control over her life and herself. Unearthed family secrets, however, will lead to the kind of betrayal that eventually break the Morgan family apart forever, but Truly’s reckoning with her own demons allows for both an uprooting of Aberdeen County, and the possibility of love in unexpected places.

  3. If I were to write a book it would probably be about the crazy life of owning a beagle. 1- loves, loves loves food. 2- Does not want to stay alone, ever 3- howls, and howls whenever he feels like it.

  18. I like Beauty and The Beast plot lines, so it would be along those lines.
    A young woman scarred in body and soul has chosen to live away from modern society as the caretaker of a natural area in the Adirondacks in NY. She sketches wildlife and the scenery, supplementing her income. The handsome nephew of the owner of one of the summer estates in the area, sees her pictures and seeks her out to do one of his uncle’s lodge.

  39. I think I would probably write a paranormal romance about a normal common girl who meets a shape shifter (walking his dog) who’s terribly handsome while she is taking out the trash after an especially boring evening of watching movies and eating popcorn alone.

  45. Hmm – the plot of a book i would based in the paranormal and there would be murders that were being committed of the paranormal nature and there is a team of paranormal investigators that are the only ones that have the ability to solve the murders

  48. The plot of my book would be the story of a young girl growing up in the Yukon in the late 1890s-early 1900s. Her father would be a steam engineer on the paddlewheelers taking the miners to the goldfields.

  55. I’d write about the world as seen by a toddler, everything from 2 1/2 feet high, trying to communicate with adult giants who don’t seem to understand toddler language. I could conduct most of my research in my own home!

  65. Wow, that is weird because one just came to me the other day, but I am perplexed by it, as it is rather dark.

    A man down on life but has great faith but is down of life because all the awful stuff going on in the world. He just feels it better for him and his family to conveniently die in a car crash, so they can all be in heaven together at once. So he sets it up and as they are cheerfully driving to the movies, singing songs and chatting, he swerves into oncoming traffic, right into a semi head on. He is jolted awake by intense pain and realizes he in fact was the only surviving member of his precious family. The plot continues as he begins to heal physically, but how does he heal emotionally from the guilt and the secret he holds in what he has done. It is only by one way, and one way only.

    Should I write it? Too bad, I am not a writer.
