Morning Meanderings…46 Degrees…. Feels Like Fall
Good morning. I know many of you are waiting for fall and love the cooler weather but for me…. I already am missing summer. My house is a little cool this morning as I sit here in the chair with COFFEE CUP and a blanket.
The one good thing about fall is that I suddenly do not wish to go outside in the cool weather so that means more blogging and boy.. do I need that! Thank goodness Bloggiesta is at the end of this month because I am behind on reviews, challenge updates, and well… everything! 
Life is still busy here. Tomorrow I am organizing our annual tailgate party for about 250 people at church. I have a great team of helpers so I am pretty relaxed about it and how it will go. On Monday I am meeting with the library after work and setting the Banned Book Week window. Then that evening I have a library meeting. Tuesday is book club and while I found the book HORRID (oh yeah, I said it….) I have a fun plan for the food. Wednesday is out Church Annual Meeting, I think I have a good handle on that right now, Thursday is dinner with friends, Friday is out for Al (hubbys) birthday, and Saturday I go to the Cities with some Bookies to have dinner with Sandra Brannan and then attend her book signing.
Yup… life has not slowed down. 
For this mornings Saturday Snapshots (Hello Alyce!!! ) I though I would post some memories from a year ago… I opened up my picture files this morning and looked at last August September and thought it would be fun to reflect on a year ago:

Minnesota is crazy Laurel… it was 80 two days ago… and it will be again before fall is over
I haven’t been on a horse in years! That all looks like way too much fun
I hurt my tailbone on the last mud run I did (SO EMBARRASSING!) so I didn’t ride horse this year but it was offered at camp again.
Great pictures! The fall is going get busier for me, too! It’s always so fun, though. I’m looking forward to it.
I think I am an activity junkie now… I dont know how to slow down and keep looking for more events
Brrrrr. Your weather is usually a few weeks ahead of me. It’s only in the 50s at night and it’s warming up nicely today. I’m dreading the cold and it’s not even here yet!

I wish some nice, Fall weather would show up, as I’m tired of having to sleep with the air conditioner on! Spring is my favorite season, but Fall is a close second! I don’t like weather extremes, so not a fan of summer or winter.

I had an early taste of fall in Alaska last month and I can’t wait for more! We’re in the upper 80′s today!

And thank your son for serving in the Navy. Last Sunday, I visited the Naval Academy in Annapolis and got a little appreciation of all that the young men and women go through in serving.

Christine, if you google mud runs you will find mass amounts.
They are activities allover the world where you run a 5k or 10k and have obstacles and mud…. in some cases, like the one we did this year…. LOTS OF MUD. They are fun though 
Brrr, 46. It hasn’t gotten quite that cold here yet, but I have to admit the cooler air that has showed up is a little bit of a relief, but can’t we have just a tiny summer intermission instead of a whole long, cold winter?
I’ll definitely be sad to see summer go!

I had an AVON event today and thankfully the weather was nice. It was starting to rain when we left but I’m not going to complain.

It’s nice to look back and see what you were doing a year ago. Looks like a lot of good times. I’m glad Fall coming….with cooler weather (although 46 degrees is a bit too much cooler….).

It is a bit extreme for me
It was so warm and muggy here yesterday we had the windows open all night. This morning was chilly and I had to get out the warm socks and sweatshirt. I’m not ready for this!

You’ve got some wonderful memories there, digital photos are so easy for that. The mud run looks particularly intriguing.
Revisiting pictures is a great way to revisit memories.
Was attending a wedding this week-end….lovely. So glad we live in a day and age of photos♫♪ They sure bring back the memories!
