Morning Meanderings… Hmmm… This or That?
Good morning.
I am on up of coffee #2, #3…. listening to The Magicians on audio this morning (thank you Judith for asking on Twitter!
) and contemplating which way my day will go and for that matter… this post.
Normally on Sundays I show you what books came in this week… and I think a few did… however, after the BEA boxes arrived mid week, and lots of company and events almost every evening this week… I think I mixed them up in the reading room and that right now… needs to be loved on – but that is another post entirely and rest assured, I have a plan and I am working on it.
Instead this morning I am going to show you a movie trailer to a book I meant to read last October for banned book week but I did not get to it. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower:
It open in mid September and that is great and means I will have to read the book before then instead of during banned book week as my rule is if at all possible I read the book before I see a movie based off a book.
As for today – it looks gorgeous outside… I have church, then I need to mow the lawn (ahhh…. audio!) I have reviews to write and prep and books to finish reading. Hubby and I went out to dinner last night for Fathers Day, we may hot a movie later this afternoon at our newly remodeled and opened theater in town… I think we are looking at Rock Of Ages… which blows my mind that it is om Cruise.
What is on your Sunday agenda?

I was also thinking of Rock of Ages, but I’m not crazy about Tom…lol
Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON POST
I loved Tom in the 80′s… Risky Business… and then I actually was impressed with his role in the last Mission Impossible movie. I like that he is making a come back and getting off the weird track he was on.
I’m going to see Rock of Ages with a friend on Tuesday. I was skeptical about Tom Cruise but everyone on Twitter has said he’s great in it.
I think it looks kind of hilarious… I hope you enjoy it Kathy!
Should be a quiet day around here. I am going to write a couple of posts, read, watch the NASCAR race and hope the kids will drop by. C-U tomorrow!!
I have many links to add to my existing reviews. I have been so busy I have just been getting them up, not doing my usual link love… I hope to fix that today.
Hubby mowed our lawn last night. I don’t think he trust me use the riding lawn mower. Lol. I’m on my 3rd cup of coffee this morning.
Gonna spend the day with him and kids. At some point I might get to read. Enjoy you Sunday.

We own and excavating company and Al works from 4:30 am – 8:00 pm usually 6 days a week this time of year so all lawn care falls to me
I actually enjoy it as it is uninterrupted audio time

Haven’t heard of Rock of Ages – but then, we always run behind when it comes to USA movies. Have fun if you end up going.
Ah, that lawn of yours! Get yourself a lawn mower school boy!
I actually love my lawn mowing time… audio all the way
I’m curious about Rock of Ages, so you’ll have to tell us what you think, if you do go see it! We celebrated F’s Day last night, too – there are very few restaurants open on Sunday in our teeny town.
Hope you have a great day!
Carrie, I just didn’t want to fight the brunch crowd today… they always jack up the prices…. all the people…last night was better, quieter…we could actually talk.
I started The Perks of Being a Wallflower awhile ago and had trouble getting into it. i guess I’ll have to pullit off the shelf and read it before the movie because I have the same rule you do!
I don’t think I own it Jill… I will have to look for it on line or grab it from the library
My Sunday plans involve grocery shopping, video games, and reading BEA books.
I haven’t read Perks of Being a Wallflower, but my little sister has been telling me for ages that I should.
I have some books I am finishing up on Grace, but I will be focusing on a BEA book or two this next week and I am so excited!!!
Oooh, nice.
Daughter and family came for the day. We had a cookout and played games. I love days like this!!
