Morning Meanderings…Chicago Recap and A Road Trip
Good Morning!
I fully expected to be on the road by now, sNOOKie and I are road tripping to Barnes and Noble this morning. Sadly, this really is a road trip as B & N is in St Cloud, about an hour away from me. I am hoping to get there early enough to talk with the NOOK representative and learn more about my NOOK….
then I just want to browse…
Last week I went to Chicago with three of my friends for a much longer (MUCH LONGER – 10 hours) road trip. It was a lot of fun and even though the arm cast was a hindrance, I am so glad I went.
For Alyce’s Saturday Snapshot, I bring these pics from the trip: (go to the snapshot link and join in the fun!)

Wisconsin Dells stop on the way home... Ripleys believe it or not. say hello to my new creepy friend!
Ok – I am out. Have an awesome day!

Hope you have a great day, too!
Thanks Hannah, it has been a good one.
Oh, I’m so glad!
Sounds like such a great trip! And what fun that you stopped in the Dells – I used to love to go there when we were in Wisconsin!
I have been to the Dells only three times in my life, even though it is only a 5 1/2 hour drive from my home.
Ah, great photos! Especially love those awesome buildings.
Here’s MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT
The buildings were pretty impressive, in many ways Chicago looks like New York.
Road trip looks so fun and I love those smiles on your faces!
We had a lot of fun Staci!
Those glass protruding whatchamacallits make my palms sweat…no way would you catch me standing on them!
Thanks for sharing the pics! I love reading about other people’s adventures.
Jill, I think if I would have seen the outside of the building first and the platforms from the ground, I am not sure I would have stood on them…
I’ve only been to Chicago a couple of times in my life and didn’t get to do sightseeing. However, that being said – no high buildings for me. The pirates would be OK. Thanks for sharing them and good luck with your NOOK.
Thanks Kay
I didn’t know there was a pirate tour boat on Navy Pier. Arrrrgh! I have to pay more attention to my own city.
Its called The Windy. Looking at their website they do other tours as well with this boat but the one I was on had to do with pirates of the great lakes, I found it interesting
I loved your pictures especially the buildings they are amazing, and how scary was the green lizard tongued man ewwwww!
He was pretty gross Leslie
Sheila what was the boat tour you went on in Chicago? I think Michael would love that. We are heading to Chicago again this summer to visit the in laws. The bus tour is something I would love to do.
sounds like you had a blast.
Cindy it was called The Windy and it is right on the Navy Pier. They do different tours and they have a website. I googled The Windy Navy Pier and it came up
I’ve never been to Chicago, so I really enjoyed seeing the photos from your trip! It looks like you guys had a ton of fun.
